Our Studies
Christian Stewardship
The Body Broken
Daniel
The Newcomer's Guide to the Bible
We strive to be Christians only without claiming to
be the only Christians. We desire to worship and
practice our faith with the simplicity and power this
is described in the New Testament. We base our
beliefs and practices on the authority of the Bible.
While we understand that our worship and the way we
carry out our activities are shaped by our habits and
traditions, we make every effort to ensure that they
are based on clear Biblical teaching. It is our
responsibility, together as a church and severally as
individuals, to study and learn as best we can what
is God's will for our lives.
Mike Justice leads this informal study. Topics
covered include:
A study of the principles of Christian Stewardship
What does in mean to be a steward?
The scope of Christian Stewardship
Stewardship of time
Stewardship of resources
Biblical instruction and promises regarding giving
Biblical examples of stewardship and giving
Spiritual implications of Christian Stewardship

Begins this summer. Based on Jack Reese's book of the
same title. Although the Restoration Movement began
as an attempt to unify believers via the Bible, we
have often been a divisive and fractious group. The
love of God has sometimes taken a back seat to being
right. We need to remember Jesus while not rejecting
our distinctive heritage. Led by Joe Murray (from his
point of view as an adult convert) and John Hoge
(from his point of view as one raised in the Church
of Christ).
Coming this autumn. Daniel is a book of prophecy that
forms the fulcrum of the Bible, a point about which
the Old and New Testament stories pivot. Its accurate
predictions belie any human source and point to the
workings of a personal, transcendent God. Led by John
Hoge.
Begins this autumn. Led by Mike Dreimiller and based
on Mike Armour's book of the same title. This book is
an excellent nontechnical introduction to the Bible
written to help all readers, and especially those who
are new to the Bible. It is designed and written in a
way that helps people who have had little or no
exposure to the Word of God to quickly gain a basic
understanding of the Bible.
